Panelists:


Jacek Zimoch
Jacek Zimoch is a manager with over 18 years of experience in the field of public aid. He supports entrepreneurs investing in Poland and Central Europe by analyzing available funding sources, selecting optimal support strategies, and preparing documentation to obtain grants and tax exemptions for implementing innovative technologies, conducting R&D, and launching shared service and R&D centers.
He has been involved in numerous projects for SMEs, large enterprises, and international corporations, particularly from Asia. With his assistance, clients have obtained over PLN 1.5 billion in public support in the form of grants and tax reliefs. Jacek participates in projects at every stage — from the conceptual phase to final settlement. He is also an experienced conference speaker and author of professional articles and press commentaries.

Piotr Kunicki
Director of Startup Design at Nanores. Active on the Startup market for 8 years. Involved in the implementation of R&D projects for 12 years. Currently implementing a new approach to building Startups. He is in the process of writing his doctoral thesis on “Measurements and control of NEMS nanoelectromechanical systems produced by SEM/FIB methods“. He actively cooperates with the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. He is the originator of a startup working on modern x-ray radiation sources.

 


Ewa Sobór
Senior Engineering and Technical Specialist and Deputy Head of the Certification Unit at the Scientific and Research Centre for Fire Protection – National Research Institute (CNBOP-PIB). Her professional work focuses primarily on conformity assessment and fire protection. Co-author of books, monographs, industry articles, and standards in the fields of conformity assessment, fire protection, and public safety. Secretary of the Polish Committee for Standardization (PKN) Technical Committee 244 for Rescue and Firefighting Equipment and Devices.

Ewa Langer
Dr. Eng. Ewa Langer is an experienced expert in the field of paint and polymer technology. She currently leads the Paints and Polymers Research Group at the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Polymer Materials in Gliwice.
- Specializes in R&D projects and the synthesis of innovative components for paints and coatings.
- Graduated with MSc and PhD degrees from the Silesian University of Technology (Faculty of Chemistry, Polymer and Plastics Technology).
- Author of over 75 scientific publications and co-author of 9 patents and numerous patent applications.
- Conducts industry training and lectures in the “Friendly Science” program.
- Completed research internships at the renowned Fraunhofer Institute IPA in Germany.
- Winner of multiple awards, including the Silesian Innovator 2022 title.


Gareth Hinds

Gareth Hinds is Senior NPL Fellow in the Electrochemistry Group at the National Physical Laboratory, United Kingdom. His primary expertise is in the development of novel in situ diagnostic techniques and standard test methods for assessment of corrosion and material degradation in energy applications. Gareth is the author of over 200 publications and is currently President of the European Federation of Corrosion and Immediate Past President of the World Corrosion Organization.

Jarosław Piekarski, the National Contact Point at the National Centre for Research and Development
Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, focused on numerical methods.
Since 2007 working as National Contact Point in Poland responsible for industrial technologies.
Involved in preparation EU and national R&I programs for Industrial technologies - appointed as Polish Delegate to FP7 Programme Committee configuration NMP (2007-2013), and as a member of Polish Delegation to Horizon 2020 Programme Committee configuration NMBP (2014-2020) and since 2021 to Horizon Europe Porgramme Committee configuration for Cluster 4. Since 2010 PL Representative in EC High Level Expert Group for Nanotechnologies and Advanced Materials. Since 2014 the member of expert group for National Smart Specialisation on Advanced Materials. In 2011 has coordinated the Future Materials Conference FUMAT2011 organized under Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU.

Łukasz Radosiński
Dr. Eng. Łukasz Radosiński graduated from Wrocław University of Science and Technology, where he obtained his M.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Solid State Physics. He completed his Ph.D. thesis at the Graduate University of Advanced Studies in Hayama and the High Energy Accelerator Laboratory (KEK) in Tsukuba, specializing in Accelerator Physics. He worked as a Research Assistant at KEK and the National Institute for Fusion Science in Toki, Japan.
Since 2009, he has been a lecturer at the Chemistry Department at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. He also serves as the CTO at M+M Inwestyn, where he is responsible for the development and implementation of fire-retardant products.
His research focuses on materials engineering and the application of numerical methods, such as Molecular Dynamics, Density Functional Theory, and Computational Fluid Dynamics, to create functional materials for a wide range of engineering applications.
In addition, Łukasz Radosiński is an expert for the Polish National Research and Development Centre and the Polish Agency for Industrial Development. He is also a member of the board of the Polish Corrosion Society.
